Securing A Masters
In April 2022, Mike Goldsmith began his career with Wilson James, stepping into the security industry with desire to make a meaningful impact. From the start, Mike’s path was marked by a strong commitment to both professional and academic growth. A key factor that propelled Mike into his career was his pursuit of a Master’s degree in Security and Risk Management, which laid the foundation for his success at Wilson James.
Whilst completing his Master’s, Mike explored the complexities of modern security challenges, gaining a broad understanding of risk management strategies and best practices that drive successful security operations. Expertise learnt during his Masters such as risk assessment, crisis response, and the evolving nature of global security threats became tools that have been frequently addressed in his professional role.
When Mike joined the Wilson James growth team, it quickly became evident that his MSc had more than prepared him for the responsibilities and expectations of his position. His academic background has allowed him to support the company’s mission of delivering security services with confidence and competence, helping the business maintain its reputation as a leader in the industry.
Today, Mike has progressed to Regional Director (London & South) following a successful tenure with the security growth team. He has a proven track record in securing and mobilising new contracts and was recently recognised for his outstanding contribution in stabilising a significant contract for Wilson James. His commitment to operational excellence and strong leadership will continue to drive success in our Southern regional operations and across London.
